The Housemaid

⭐⭐⭐⭐1/2

Expectation: 😈

Reality: 😈

The Housemaid gave me everything I wanted. I love a thriller, and this one is extremely well done!

I didn’t read the book or the synopsis so I went in knowing nothing about the plot, just being a fan of the actors and director and they did not disappoint.

The pacing is perfect and the story is chilling, crazy, and fun.

I guessed part of the twist but not all of it and I liked that parts of it were predictable but others weren’t, that keeps the audience on their toes.

The audience in the theater with me had loud, audible gasps all through the film and a good number of people yelled at the screen, it was great, I loved it.

Say what you want about Sydney Sweeney but the girl can act. She, Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar are such a great trio. All three are multi-faceted and really keep you guessing with these characters.

I docked half a star because as is common with thrillers and horror there is a line where it gets campy and loses me, and they crossed that a couple times. But overall, it’s solid and I really enjoyed it.

If you see it — come back and let me know on my contact page. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
